Learn how MyKeeperCoach operates, understand your metrics, and find recording tips.
Parents or coaches upload match footage directly to the web dashboard. During upload, you supply match details (teams, game date, keeper jersey number, and jersey color). Once uploads finish, our serverless pipeline processes the videos using Google Vertex AI (Gemini 2.5 Flash). The AI identifies the keeper, tracks their actions, and outputs a complete match report card within 5 hours.
Clips upload directly from your browser to Firebase Storage. A secure background Cloud Function triggers automatically, using the direct Google Cloud Storage URIs (GCS links) to feed Vertex AI. Gemini parses the video files, writes structured JSON evaluations back to Firestore, and alerts you when your report card is ready.
Upload files from a single match together in one batch. The limits are:
- Maximum of 10 clips per match session.
- Any individual clip must be under 80 minutes in length.
- The combined total of all clips in the session must be under 150 minutes.
For best results:
- Mount your camera/phone on a tripod placed **directly behind the goal net**, elevated **6 to 8 feet**.
- Use a **0.5x wide-angle** lens setting. Ensure the entire goal and the 18-yard penalty box are visible.
- Film continuously without panning, zooming, or following the ball.
- Input your goalkeeper's jersey color and number during the upload prompt.
When you start an upload:
- Screen Wake Lock: Automatically requests a system lock to keep your screen awake, preventing the device from sleeping.
- Auto-Pause/Resume: If you switch tabs or minimize the browser, the upload freezes state. Returning to the tab immediately resumes the upload.
Every match is graded across 6 core goalkeeper pillars (rated 0–10):
- Shot Stopping: Reflexes, block mechanics, catching and parrying.
- Positioning: Angles, depth relative to ball, and setting feet before shots.
- Cross Management: High balls, decision-making, and catching technique.
- Distribution: Passing, goal kicks, drop-kicks, and accuracy.
- Communication: Defensive organization, setting walls, and vocal calls.
- 1v1 Situations: Smothering breakaways, closing depth, and block saves.
The Skill Radar is a visual spider chart on your dashboard. Use the dropdown context menu to filter averages across:
- `Latest Match Only`
- `Past 3 / 5 / 10 / 20 / 50 Matches`
- `Last 4 Weeks / 3 Months / 6 Months / All Time`
The Trends tab displays a line graph of your historical ratings.
- Interactive Legend: Click on any of the colored skill pills at the top (e.g., Distribution, Positioning) to toggle specific lines on and off.
- Range Selector: Zoom the timeline in or out (e.g., Past 10 Matches, Last 3 Months) to see performance progression.
The Scouting Sheet is a verified recruitment profile. It is unlocked for **Coach Pro, Elite, or Club** subscribers once the keeper completes **5 analyzed matches**. The sheet automatically calculates star ratings (0–5 stars), aggregates saves, calculates clean sheets, list strengths, and generates a shareable public link.
The Trajectory indicator appears on your Scouting Sheet. It runs a linear regression on your match scores over your past 5 sessions. If your average scores are increasing, your trajectory is labeled **Upward**. If they are stable, it is labeled **Steady**.
You can toggle the **Recruiting Directory Opt-In** switch under your Scouting Sheet.
- Opted In: Your profile is listed in the recruiting database. Verified college coaches can find your profile by filtering for age, gender, level, stars, location, or skill ratings.
- Opted Out: Your profile is hidden from search directory lists. Only users with your direct, temporary 48-hour link can view your details.
When a recruiter messages you from the public directory, a notification appears under the **Recruiter Messages** tab in your dashboard, displaying a red badge with unread counts. You can open the panel to read and reply directly from the dashboard.
Open the Scouting Sheet modal and navigate to the **Manage Highlights** tab. Here, you'll see a list of AI-generated timestamped clips. You can review clips, label them with specific tags (e.g., Shot Stopping, Distribution), and save them. You can attach up to 50 highlight clips directly to your public recruiting profile.
Clip limits are dictated by your active subscription tier:
- Starter (Free): Up to **15-second** clips, rendered in **720p** quality.
- Pro: Up to **30-second** clips, rendered in **720p** quality.
- Elite / Club: Up to **45-second** clips, rendered in **1080p** high-definition.
Coach Ted is our interactive AI support widget in the bottom-right corner of the dashboard (available to logged-in users). Ted is equipped to:
- Diagnose platform issues (e.g. upload failures, billing rules).
- Answer soccer development questions (e.g. "What drills help with depth positioning on breakaway attacks?").
If Coach Ted cannot resolve your issue, type "Open a ticket" or select the ticket creation option in the chat widget. Input your issue details, and our administrative dashboard will log the ticket for human follow-up via email.
- 🟢 Starter (Free): 1 hr analysis/mo, 30 days video storage, 1 pinned game, 1 keeper profile, watermarked report card, community support.
- 🔵 Pro ($35/mo or $300/yr): 5 hrs analysis/mo, 90 days storage, 5 pinned games, 1 keeper profile, parent sharing, email support.
- 🟣 Elite ($50/mo or $420/yr): 15 hrs analysis/mo, 365 days storage, unlimited pinned games, 1 keeper profile, sharing with recruiters, branded PDF export, public recruiter-ready profile link.
- 🏟️ Club ($600/mo or $5,000/yr): Includes 10 keepers ($15/keeper/mo after monthly or $150/keeper/yr after annually). Shared pool of video analysis hours (15 hrs/mo per keeper pooled), 365 days of storage, club dashboard, club branding, dedicated account manager.
Navigate to your dashboard, click **Settings**, and select **Manage Subscription**. This opens a secure connection to the Stripe Customer Portal, where you can modify card details, download invoices, or cancel renewals.
